A fanciful story of an alien who longs to become an earthling. He travels around the Earth and carefully observes humans to learn how to be like us. But it’s not that easy. We’re stranger than he thought. Will he be able to understand our behaviour and fit into society?
In this original work, Pavol Seriš takes a satirical look at the chaotic world that we accept as normal today. Earthling is a theatrical account of people in the 21st century who look any which way but in the mirror. It is physical stand-up comedy and pantomime about the way we are and how we behave.
Pavol Seriš is a graduate of the Studio of Physical Theatre at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. His work focuses mainly on original solo performances with six shows currently in his repertoire: Did you enjoy your dish, gentlemen?, Out of the Zoo, Author, At the Cash Desk, Samko Tále and Earthling. He has won many awards for his productions, including the First Prize of the European Young Theatre 2015 in Spoleto, Italy and the Audience Award at the Monomaffia 2016 festival in Pärnu, Estonia.
