Pantomime
Pantomime is to theater what poetry is to literature. It is necessary and beautiful, because it can not only look at reality poetically, but also reveal what is hidden in it between the lines. It does not describe or imitate reality, but looks at the world through a network of emotions that set all events in motion. Pantomime can move the theater in accordance with the rhythms, become an act of deep connection with the world of abstraction and concrete reality. A pair of mimes who were educated at the legendary school of Marcel Marceau introduce the audience to the roots and tradition of “white” performing arts in an engaging way in the performance Art of Pantomime.
Sara Mangano and Pierre-Yves Massip met in 1994 at the Marcel Marceau school of Mime and have been exploring the vast world of their imagination together ever since. For three decades, they have worked together as a duo to shape movement and visual theater where the body is both instrument and goal. “We work with a drama of movement that can reflect our everyday life with all its little ups and downs, as well as take us on an epic and lyrical journey into our thoughts.”
