Comedy acting and pantomime
This is Trygve Wakenshaw’s newest hilarious mime-clown-comedy show. Light and silly, absurd and Dada, it’s his most personal show. An introspective look at all the silly little things that can make or break a friendship. Having been nominated for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2015, and selling out with Trygve Versus A Baby in 2017, award-winning, internationally-recognised mime-clown Trygve Wakenshaw won’t be lonely as he brings his new show to Polička for its Czech premiere.
Trygve Wakenshaw was born in New Zealand. He studied physical comedy acting at the prestigious Ecole Philippe Gaulier in France. Gradually, he developed his own style, which uniquely combines pantomime, physical theater and cheeky naivety – on stage, his style is crazy, eccentric and takes absolutely risky steps. Trygve is critically acclaimed, his productions are crowned with prizes and their charm lies “in a wonderfully strange idiocy”. In his work, top entertainment, the technique of movement theater and pantomime, and an honest relationship to nonsense meet. Solo creation includes: Kraken, Squidboy, Nautilus or Mad Office. A short list of major awards includes Time Out Best Comedy of 2014, Edinburgh Underbelly Award 2014, New Zealand International Comedy Festival – Best Comedy 2014, Adelaide Fringe – Best Comedy 2015, Perth Fringe – Best Comedy 2015, Best International Act – Busan International Comedy Festival 2016 …
