A world of fantasy unwound from balls of yarn.

Every wish a ball of yarn, and every ball of yarn a world of miracles. Just don’t lose the thread!”

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Nina who really wanted an elephant knitted from yarn. So one day she went to the knitting factory to see if they had any more. But the factory had closed long ago! Thanks to her courage, the whole factory comes to life again with its kind workers, balls of yarn and knitting machines. Suddenly Nina finds herself in a funny world full of magic and games, and she not only makes her own wishes come true, but those of everyone around her as well!

This performance was inspired by the closing of the Pleta textile factory, where once long ago a little girl named Nina used to visit her grandmother at her knitting machine.  She dreamed that once she grew up, she too would knit the very same blue elephant. In the meantime, however, the factory machines grew silent. When Nina returns to the familiar but now abandoned place, she imagines what the knitting factory would be like if it were in a fairy tale and every adult did what they wished for as a child.

This production for children uses movement and objects to tell the story of an enormous factory with the even greater dreams of its workers. Five performers are accompanied by live music composed in the former Pleta factory.
